The Shaolin kung fu course for children is aimed at developing coordination, speed, strength and flexibility in accordance with the child’s natural physical and mental development. The child develops his skills in a natural and fun way and learns effective self-defense techniques and appropriate reactions to a possible physical attack. Practicing Shaolin kung fu naturally leads to an overall improvement in the functions of the internal organs and transforms your body into a durable and well-functioning complex. The course is conducted in a game and competition way to maintain attention throughout the exercise.

What is Shaolin kung fu for children
Shaolin kung fu is a martial art that hides great power. However, to learn well Shaolin kung fu fighting techniques requires a strong will and building good physical endurance. It is especially suitable for children due to the holistic and natural approach to the overall personality of a person. It develops the child’s physical and mental sides by adopting effective combat applications and combat formations, which additionally improve reaction, physical condition and mental focus.
Details of the Shaolin kung fu course for children in Prague
The teaching is conducted personally by Mgr. Ondřej Diviš, long-time student of Master Zhai Hongyin, graduate of UK FTVS and personal fitness trainer.
The content of each lesson is divided into two parts. The first is the teaching of the basic skills of Shaolin kung fu in a competitive form, which are necessary for the training of more complex elements. The second part is devoted to Shaolin kung fu techniques and combat applications that develop the art of close combat and self-defense. The course is suitable for children from 6 years old. Younger kids can also participate in the course by agreement.
Where and how we practice Shaolin kung fu for children
Shaolin kung fu lessons for children take place outside in the open air on the football field in Ondřejov near Prague (Prague-east), the gym in ZŠ Ondřejov is now under negotiation. In Prague, classes take place year-round outdoors on artificial grass and grass in the Chodov Central Park (a 3-minute walk from metro C – Opatov).
